Continued support to Ebola emergency
Published: 14 November 2014
IHP and respective governments are continuing the fight against Ebola. IHP is currently scaling up the support services to Sierra Leone and Liberia.
IHP has six support operations in response to the Ebola crisis in West Africa. A team led by DSB, Norway, is being deployed this weekend to provide office and accommodation support services to health workers in Moyamba, 120 km east of Freetown, Sierra Leone. Furthermore, a team led by MSB, Sweden, is currently being mobilized and deployed to Liberia to support the Ebola Treatment Units with logistics, procurement, water and sanitation capacity. IHP is simultaneously assessing the capacity for additional resources to be deployed to Guinea.
